MEXICO CITY, Mexico (Date)- Mexicana de Aviacion announced it will add non stop service between Mexico City and Vancouver, Canada's second largest city, beginning December 14th, 2002. The 5 weekly services will be flown with the state of the art Airbus A319 aircraft, with a seat configuration of 12 business class, and 108 economy seats, and will further enhance Mexicana's position as the leading carrier between Mexico & Canada.

"Since we started service to Canada in 1996, we have experienced sustained traffic growth , and believe that Vancouver is a natural progression for us in our coverage of this important market. We are also delighted to be able to further strengthen our strategic relationship with AIR CANADA, our STAR ALLIANCE partner in Canada, who will participate on this route via an extension of our current codeshare agreement."

In addition to the new Vancouver service, Mexicana will also increase service to Montreal to daily and to 12 flights a week to Toronto, in cooperation with Air Canada, beginning December 12th 2002.
